Call Of Duty : World at War Game

With over two million Wii’s sold in the month of November, you would think almost any high profile game on the console would sell reasonably well, right? Well, doesn’t look that way for Activision’s Call of Duty: World at War.

According to the overall sales of Call of Duty: WaW, the Xbox 360 version took the number one spot having sold 1.41 million copies, the PlayStation 3 comes in second with a solid 600,000 units sold and the Wii, PS2, DS and PC have only a combined 200,000 copies sold. Not fresh at all.

My guess to why World at War has sold so poorly on the Wii is as good as anyone else’s. However, if most of you gamers, you’ve got a Xbox 360 or PS3 sitting there right next to your Wii. And if you were even more, you’d take the graphical power and HD resolution over motion controls any day. Another reason would be the online experience of the 360, or even the PS3, over the crappy friend code bullshit that the Wii is still using. Looks like the hardcore gamers are staying hardcore and there’s nothing “Wii” can do about it.
